After last weekend’s shock defeat to West Ham, Manchester City have a derby match to contend with in the game of the weekend. Manchester United are the visitors and will be buoyed by their last minute equaliser against Chelsea last Sunday. Chelsea and Southampton remain the pace setters, while things are looking bleak for Aston Villa and Burnley.
This week we have a 2/1 easy winner, a 5/1 medium risk bet and a very attractive looking 133/1 long shot treble. The long shot contains some great value bets and hopefully the risk-takers among us can have a nice, profitable weekend.
Easy Winner – 2-1 (Sky Bet)
- Arsenal v Burnley, Arsenal to win (1/4) – Burnley are struggling with life in the top division, and Arsenal should be easy winners in this one with odds of 1/4.
- Chelsea v QPR, Chelsea to win by more than one (8/15) – Despite a great result at home to Villa on Monday night, QPR face a huge test in visiting Stamford Bridge. Chelsea would have struggled with this fixture last year but this year should win by a couple of goals at least. This bet is 8/15 with Sky Bet and worth backing on its own, let alone in our acca.
- Manchester City v Manchester United, both teams to score (8/15) – This should be a great fixture and has two of the strongest attacks in the league. Manchester United always provide great value in the Both Teams To Score market, and, at 8/15, this bet shouldn’t be passed up.
Medium Risk – 5/1 (Bet Victor)
- Everton v Swansea, both teams to score (4/5) – Everton’s expansive style under Roberto Martinez this season has meant clean sheets have been hard to come by for both them and their opponents. Both teams to score is 4/5 here and looks as safe as houses.
- Alexis Sanchez to score anytime (17/20) – Fresh from scoring two at Sunderland, Sanchez is in a good position to kick on and show his class in the Premier League. The Chilean is 17/20 to bag a goal when Arsenal face bottom side Burnley.
- Sergio Aguero to score anytime (4/5) – Aguero is undoubtedly one of the best strikers in the league and his goals per game ratio is fantastic. United defensively are still not quite there and the little Argentine will fancy his chances. He’s 4/5 to score in the Manchester derby.
Long Shot – 133/1 (Sky Bet)
- Aston Villa v Tottenham, Tottenham to win to nil (11/4) – Aston Villa haven’t scored in more than eight hours of football and have lost five on the bounce in the league. Tottenham look good to win and keep a clean sheet at 11/4 with Sky Bet.
- Diafra Sakho to score first (11/2) – Sakho has scored in his last six games and despite coming up against the physical defence of Stoke, he looks very hard to stop at the moment. In a game that has potential to be a low scoring affair, Sakho looks like a very long price to score first at 11/2.
- Sergio Aguero and Robin van Persie both to score (9/2) – Both players are statistically fantastic goal scorers and look a good price to rise to the occasion on Sunday. They are 9/2 to both score.
