This weekend looks like being perhaps the most exciting of the Premier League season so far. As well as big derby matches, the table could look very different come the close of play on Sunday. This is a great weekend to have options for your betting so we’ve created three trebles of increasing odds to give you just that.
Short Price – 7/5 (Betfair)
- Chelsea to beat West Ham (1/2) – West Ham were improved against Man City last weekend but they still lost. They’ll be looking for more improvement when Chelsea visit the London Stadium on Saturday but the result is likely to be the same.
- Tottenham to beat Stoke (1/4) – Tottenham must turn their poor form around quickly and Stoke represent a great chance for them to do just that. Mauricio Pochettino rested key players in midweek so expect Spurs to be ready for an important win at Wembley.
- Liverpool to beat Everton (2/7) – Everton’s form has improved since Sam Allardyce joined the club but it’s very early days and the derby against Liverpool is their biggest test by miles. Liverpool are very strong at home and should win their sixth league game in seven.
Medium Risk – 8/1 (Ladbrokes)
- Leicester to beat Newcastle (9/5) – After a good start to the season, Newcastle have gone backwards recently. The Magpies are without a win in six games and it’s not going to get any easier when the in-form Leicester visit St James’ Park.
- Under 2.5 goals in Southampton v Arsenal (evens) – Southampton may have looked better going forwards of late but they are still a team built from the back. The Saints will seek to keep Arsenal at bay and while the away team may win, it’ll be a hard fought victory.
- Both teams to score in Man United v Man City (4/6) – The Manchester derby could go either way given the form and strength of these two teams. Whoever wins, they’ll surely have to score more than once and it should pay to expect goals for both teams.
Long Shot – 142/1 (Betfred)
- West Brom to beat Swansea (2/1) – Swansea got off to a fast start of last weekend’s game against Stoke but blew their chance of a much needed win. Things are looking very bleak for the Swans and West Brom could pick up their first win under Alan Pardew.
- Brighton to beat Huddersfield to nil (10/3) – Huddersfield have lost their last four games, drawing a blank in three of them. David Wagner will be expecting a return to form at home but Brighton could just take full advantage of the poor form of their opponents. The Seagulls are scoring goals and are normally very tough to score against and a win to nil is not out of the question.
- Arsenal to beat Southampton 2-0 (10/1) – Arsenal are desperate to bounce back from last weekend’s defeat against Man United when they take on Southampton on Sunday. Arsene Wenger is expecting a tough game but the Gunners should be good enough to come through unscathed so 2-0 looks well priced at 10/1.
