This weekend sees another high quality set of fixtures taking place in the Premier League. Teams up and down the country are desperate to either bounce back from a poor result in midweek or to carry on the momentum they gained. Easy Winner – evens (Sky Bet)
- Under 3.5 goals in Southampton v West Ham (2/7) – Neither Southampton nor West Ham are happy with their form at the moment. They know they’ve got to avoid defeat on Saturday which should result in a fairly tense, low scoring game on the south coast.
- Tottenham to beat Middlesbrough (2/7) – Middlesbrough’s form shows no sign of improving. Boro are without a win in seven games which is not the run you want to be on ahead of a game against this quality Tottenham side.
- Man City to beat Swansea (2/9) – Swansea have bounced back to form in the Premier League with two big wins. However, it’s very hard to see anything other than a defeat for the Swans on Sunday when they make the daunting trip to take on a Man City side who have rediscovered their mojo.
Medium Risk – 14/1 (BetVictor)
- Crystal Palace to beat Sunderland (13/20) – Sam Allardyce finally got his first win as Crystal Palace manager in midweek. You’ve got to believe he’s got a great chance of doubling his tally on Saturday when his former side Sunderland visit Selhurst Park.
- Watford to beat Burnley (23/20) – Burnley continue to make the most of their home games. They snatched a win against Leicester on Tuesday night but it is a different story on their travels. The Clarets have just earned just one point away this season which makes Watford look like firm favourites on Saturday.
- Under 1.5 goals in Hull v Liverpool (10/3) – Liverpool did well to come back from 1-0 down for a point against Chelsea but they are still not flowing in front of goal. They will likely find scoring tough against Hull on Saturday given the Tigers’ new found ability to dig in.
Long Shot – 60/1 (Bet365)
- Chelsea to beat Arsenal to nil (12/5) – Chelsea have an amazing ability to take teams apart at home whilst staying strong defensively. The Blues can get revenge for their defeat at the Emirates in September by comfortably beating the Gunners on Saturday.
- Leicester and Man Utd to draw (13/5) – Leicester need a big performance against Man Utd. They continue to struggle in their title defence but they may be able to pick up a hard earned point given Man Utd’s own lack of form.
- West Brom to beat Stoke and both teams to score (4/1) – West Brom have beaten all but one of the sides below them at the Hawthorns this season. Stoke, meanwhile, have a poor record on their travels. The Potters can make a game of it but the Baggies should come out on top come the final whistle.
