Last weekend was one of the most entertaining of the current Premier League season and we could be set for more of the same one week on. We’ve got big matches at the top and bottom of the league table to enjoy and the potential for a couple more upsets. We’ve gone through the action to provide you with three trebles that will hopefully provide some profit along with the entertainment.
Easy Winner – 2/1 (Sky Bet)
- Over 1.5 goals in Sunderland v Southampton (4/11) – Saturday’s game at the Stadium of Light is one both teams will be confident about winning. It should be an entertaining affair with action in both penalty boxes.
- Chelsea to beat Burnley (2/5) – Burnley have one of the best home records in the Premier League this season but even they will struggle to keep Chelsea at bay when the Blues visit Turf Moor on Sunday.
- Over 2.5 goals in Bournemouth v Man City (4/7) – The combination of Man City’s improvement in front of goal and Bournemouth’s shocking defence makes this look like a tough evening for the Cherries. There should be plenty of goalmouth action for the Monday Night Football pundits to go through after this one.
Medium Risk – 6/1 (BetVictor)
- Everton to beat Middlesbrough (11/10) – For so long this season we’ve heard about how much better the top six are than the rest of the Premier League. Everton, however, have a chance to break the party at the top. Ronald Koeman’s men should enhance their position further still with victory at the Riverside.
- Both teams to score in Stoke v Crystal Palace (4/5) – Crystal Palace were humiliated against Sunderland last weekend. They simply have to up their game against Stoke or they’ll start to look doomed in the relegation battle. Stoke are also looking to bounce back so expect goals for both sides.
- Both teams to score in Arsenal v Hull (20/23) – Once again, the fans at Arsenal are revolting at their team’s inability to compete at the very top of the Premier League. The Gunners are overwhelming favourites to beat Hull but with a general sense of discontent and the Tigers’ improvement, Arsenal may need more than one goal to secure the three points.
Long Shot – 240/1 (Bet365)
- Sunderland to beat Southampton and both teams to score (7/1) – One swallow does not make a summer but Sunderland’s win against Crystal Palace will provide a welcome shot of confidence to the team. The Black Cats can start talk of another miraculous escape by capitalising on Southampton’s poor defence to win an entertaining game at the Stadium of Light.
- Liverpool and Tottenham to draw 1-1 (6/1) – Liverpool are unbeaten against any of the Premier League’s top half this season. They’ll have to work hard to keep that record intact against Tottenham but they can battle to another draw just like they did against Chelsea.
- Swansea to beat Leicester to nil (10/3) – Leicester remain on course to be relegated one year after winning the title. There is disquiet behind the scenes at Leicester while Swansea continue to improve. The Swans can take full advantage of Leicester’s inability to score goals.
