We’ve just come through the hectic festive schedule of fixtures in the Premier League but there is no rest this weekend as it’s time for the FA Cup third round. The third round is traditionally one of the best weekends of the season but what if we could make it that little bit better by providing you with some winning trebles to secure profit from the bookies? That’s what we’ve aimed to do with three the three bets below.
Easy Winner – 13/10 (BetVictor)
- Man United to beat Reading (1/5) – Jaap Stam left Man United under controversial circumstances as a player. He returns to Old Trafford as a manager early on Saturday afternoon but he’s unlikely to enjoy himself as United have finally hit a run of form.
- Huddersfield to beat Port Value (2/5) – Huddersfield continue to impress in the Championship and remain in contention for a top two finish. David Wagner’s team should stroll through to the FA Cup fourth round when they host League One side Port Vale.
- Brentford to beat Eastleigh (4/11) – Eastleigh are one of the few Non League clubs left in the FA Cup but their run is surely going to come to an end at Griffin Park after a tough game against Brentford.
Medium Risk – 15/2 (Sky Bet)
- Brighton to beat MK Dons (4/9) – Chris Hughton has done a brilliant job to get Brighton over the disappointment of missing out on automatic promotion last season. The Seagulls are flying at the top of the Championship and should have too much for the MK Dons on Saturday.
- Over 2.5 goals in Everton v Leicester (5/6) – Everton and Leicester will both be looking at the FA Cup as a genuine chance for some silverware this season. That’s going to lead to a cracking game at Goodison Park full of plenty of action and hopefully goals.
- Sunderland and Burnley to draw (9/4) – When you’re battling it out to avoid relegation in the Premier League the last thing you need is extra games. Unfortunately that could be just what Sunderland and Burnley get after their meeting on Saturday. They are two well matched teams so don’t be surprised if they need a replay to decide who progresses to the fourth round.
Long Shot – 58/1 (Bet365)
- Bolton to beat Crystal Palace (3/1) – Crystal Palace’s defeat against Swansea will leave Sam Allardyce in no doubt about the size of the job in his hands. He’s got form when it comes to playing the kids in the FA Cup when things aren’t going well in the league which could give Bolton the edge on Saturday.
- Norwich to beat Southampton (12/5) – Things are not going to plan for Alex Neil. He cannot afford to lose any more support amongst the fans so expect a strong Canaries team which could take the game to Southampton and record a win against the odds.
- Leeds to beat Cambridge United and both teams to score (10/3) – Leeds fans are loving life under Garry Monk. The Whites can add a cup run to their strong league showing by beating Cambridge United but they’ll find it tough to keep a clean sheet at the Abbey Stadium.
