While football fans up and down the country have put on a few extra pounds over the last couple of weeks, the Premier League players they support have been hard at work. We’ve already had the traditional Boxing Day fixtures and another round of games just a couple of days ago but it’s already time for another 10 matches over three days. So, let’s have a look at the action and hopefully find some winning bets from the following three accumulators.
Easy Winner – 23/20 (BetVictor)
- Liverpool to beat Sunderland (1/3) – Liverpool have already thrown away points in games on the road that they should have won. Jurgen Klopp will be telling his players there is absolutely no room for mistake when Liverpool take on Sunderland at the Stadium of Light.
- Over 1.5 goals in West Ham v Man Utd (2/7) – Man Utd arrive at the London Stadium in arguably their best spell since Jose Mourinho took over. The Red Devils should enjoy themselves against West Ham’s dodgy defence but the home side also have goals in their locker.
- Over 1.5 goals in Crystal Palace v Swansea (3/10) – Sam Allardyce needs his new Crystal Palace team to win their games against fellow relegation rivals. The Eagles will go all out for the three points against Swansea but their defensive worries could strike again.
Medium Risk – 7/1 (Sky Bet)
- West Brom to beat Hull (3/4) – If Tony Pulis can keep his West Brom side ticking along, they could be the season’s big over performers in the Premier League. The Baggies should have too much for Hull at home on Saturday.
- Middlesbrough to beat Leicester (6/4) – Leicester have gone from a relegation battle, to a title challenge and right back to another relegation battle. Middlesbrough have a great chance to pick up three points and impose more woe on the Foxes in Saturday’s early game.
- Stoke to beat Watford (10/11) – Stoke need to start picking up points or else they’ll soon be part of the relegation conversation. The same could be said of Watford. This should be a close run thing but the Potters will be very disappointed if they don’t win.
Long Shot – 72/1 (Bet365)
- Everton to beat Southampton and both teams to score (15/4) – After losing on his return to St Mary’s in November, Ronald Koeman will be desperate to beat Southampton at Goodison Park. The Toffees can triumph in a game that should see goals for both sides.
- Over 3.5 goals in Crystal Palace v Swansea (12/5) – Sam Allardyce will surely improve Crystal Palace’s defence but he is not a miracle worker. It’s going to take time and Swansea will have chances at Selhurst Park. With both teams franticly scrabbling for points, expect goals galore.
- Chelsea to beat Tottenham and both teams to score (7/2) – This is the biggest game of this round of fixtures and one of the biggest of the season. Spurs will be desperate to get one over on Chelsea and should be able to score. However, the Blues are phenomenal at the moment and can come through this massive test.
