Football Accumulator Tips – 14th to 15th January 2017

The way the fixtures have fallen, we could be in line for the best weekend of the Premier League season so far. There are very important games in the hunt for the title and in the desperate scramble to avoid relegation into the Championship. You may think there’s enough tension about but you can make your weekend even more interesting by having your pick of our three football accumulators below.

Easy Winner – 7/4 (BetVictor)

  • Under 3.5 goals in Tottenham v West Brom (2/5) – West Brom have proven to be difficult to beat, even against the best teams in the division. They are sure to dig in at White Hart Lane so Spurs will have to work for their three points.
  • Arsenal to beat Swansea (1/2) – Swansea have secured some important wins over the past few weeks but getting anything out of their game against Arsenal looks beyond them. Back the Gunners to win in South Wales.
  • Over 1.5 goals in Crystal Palace v West Ham (3/10) – The result of this London derby could have profound effects for West Ham and Slaven Bilic. With so much on the line, expect plenty of goalmouth action at the London Stadium.

Medium Risk – 13/2 (Sky Bet)

  • Bournemouth to beat Hull (6/5) – The early signs suggest that Hull may improve under new manager Marco Silva. Even so, it’s unlikely to end with them avoiding the drop. They may not even be able to avoid defeat against this improving Bournemouth side.
  • Chelsea to beat Leicester (8/13) – Chelsea’s impressive winning streak ended last time out but that does not stop Antonio Conte’s team being favourites for the title. The Blues should be able to bounce back in style by beating Leicester at the King Power Stadium.
  • Man Utd to beat Liverpool (11/10) – When Man Utd and Liverpool met at Anfield, Jose Mourinho did everything in his power to ensure they left with a point. With United playing much better, he’ll be concerned more with getting the win. That will require a top quality performance but that’s not out of the reach of the improving Reds.

Long Shot – 57/1 (Bet365)

  • Burnley to beat Southampton to nil (4/1) – Burnley are very impressive at home. They’ve secured an average of two points per game at Turf Moor and they’ve got a great chance to improve that record against Southampton on Saturday. The Saints will be fatigued so this could end up being comfortable for the Clarets.
  • Sunderland and Stoke to draw (23/10) – Sunderland and Stoke are in pretty poor shape at the moment. Confidence is short among both teams and although they’d both love a win on Saturday, we could end up with them both being disappointed as they share the spoils.
  • West Ham and Crystal Palace to draw (5/2) – Much like the game at the Stadium of Light, the derby at the London Stadium is one which both teams and managers will be desperate to win. However, West Ham and Crystal Palace could be similarly disappointed with a point apiece.
