The combination of the FA Cup and two weeks of European football makes it feel as though it’s been longer than two weeks since we’ve had Premier League action to enjoy. But it’s back to the day job for the top flight with eight matches across three days. So, let’s see if we can make some profit from the games with three different multiples below.
Easy Winner – 27/20 (Sky Bet)
- Chelsea to beat Swansea (1/4) – Swansea have improved significantly since Paul Clement was appointed the club’s new manager. However, they’ll need one of their best performances since becoming a Premier League club to avoid defeat against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge.
- Everton to beat Sunderland (2/5) – This will surely be the season where Sunderland finally get relegated. They’ve managed to avoid the drop from seemingly impossible positions in each of the last five seasons but defeat against Everton this weekend will be yet another hammer blow from which David Moyes’ side surely cannot recover.
- Over 1.5 goals in Watford v West Ham (1/3) – Watford and West Ham have improved significantly since Christmas and they’ll both be gunning for the win at Vicarage Road on Saturday. Expect both defences to be busy.
Medium Risk – 8/1 (BetVictor)
- Under 2.5 goals in Hull v Burnley (8/13) – Burnley only have one plan when it comes to playing away, make life as difficult as possible for the opposition and try to steal a point. It’s not exactly worked this season but Hull will be made to work incredibly hard for any chances at the KCOM Stadium on Saturday.
- Over 1.5 first half goals in Everton v Sunderland (6/4) – Having had a break to Dubai and picked up some thumping home wins, Everton have more than enough confidence to come out of the traps flying against Sunderland and score at least a couple in the first half.
- Under 2.5 goals in Tottenham v Stoke (6/5) – Spurs have not been playing their best stuff of late and have to raise themselves for Sunday’s match against Stoke having played in the Europa League in Thursday. This could be a low tempo match.
Long Shot – 47/1 (Bet365)
- Middlesbrough to beat Crystal Palace to nil (9/2) – Middlesbrough are by no means safe from relegation yet but they can take a big step towards avoiding the drop at Selhurst Park on Saturday. With Crystal Palace struggling for any kind of form, Boro can turn up, defend deep and then pounce to snatch all three points.
- Watford and West Ham to draw (11/5) – There has only been one draw in the last eight meetings between Watford and West Ham but that could be about to change on Saturday. This looks a well matched game from which a point would be a decent result for both sides.
- Liverpool to beat Leicester to nil (7/4) – Leicester are still without a Premier League goal in 2017 which is music to Liverpool’s ears. Jurgen Klopp’s team struggle for clean sheets but they can grab one along with the win at the King Power Stadium.
