Some Premier League clubs, already knocked out of the FA Cup, have taken the chance for a little warm weather break this week. However, for those still in the competition and the large number of lower league teams who’ve made it through to the fifth round, it’s time for another round of action on the road to Wembley. So, let’s get cracking with three trebles from the weekend’s matches.
Easy Winner – 7/5 (Sky Bet)
- Chelsea to beat Wolves (2/5) – Chelsea are very much looking at achieving the league and cup double this season. They’re in an incredibly strong position in the league and should take a step closer to Wembley by beating Wolves at Molineux.
- Tottenham/draw double chance against Fulham (2/9) – Spurs nearly suffered a huge shock against Wycombe in the fourth round. They’ve got a tougher game in the fifth round against Fulham but they should at least avoid defeat at Craven Cottage.
- Man Utd to beat Blackburn (2/5) – Blackburn are struggling in the relegation zone of the Championship table right now. While the fans are looking forward to a big game against Man Utd, they’re unlikely to enjoy the result.
Medium Risk – 9/1 (BetVictor)
- Middlesbrough to beat Oxford Utd (1/2) – Aitor Karanka is in need of a good few weeks at Middlesbrough. Boro are not playing well and their fans are unhappy. A cup run is just the ticket for the Karanka and he should be able to oversee a win at home to Oxford Utd.
- Over 3.5 goals in Millwall v Leicester (29/10) – Leicester are still without a goal in the Premier League in 2017 but they’ve enjoyed themselves rather more in the FA Cup (and Champions League). With Millwall believing they can win another game against Premier League opposition and Leicester looking for drastic improvement, we should be in line for an entertaining match.
- Both teams to score in Huddersfield v Man City (8/11) – Man City are the favourites for the FA Cup with most bookies. They’ve got a good chance to qualify for the sixth round but will not have things all their own way against Huddersfield. David Wagner’s men can breach City’s defence at least, even if they don’t win.
Long Shot – 30/1 (Bet365)
- Burnley to beat Lincoln and both teams to score (2/1) – Burnley’s strong home record makes them odds on favourites to beat Lincoln on Saturday. However, the Imps will not go down without a fight and they may be able to make the game interesting by scoring at Turf Moor.
- Chelsea to beat Wolves to nil (11/8) – Chelsea look very much like the full package. They are incredibly strong at the back and devastating going forwards. That combination will surely be too much for Wolves who Chelsea should be able to beat without conceding.
- Arsenal -2 goal handicap against Sutton Utd (10/3) – Sutton Utd have been fantastic during this FA Cup campaign. However, this is as far as it’s likely to go. Arsenal should win with relative comfort on the artificial pitch at Gander Green Lane.
