Football Accumulator Tips – 16th to 19th June 2017

Most footballers are putting their feet up on the beach somewhere but that’s not the case for all of them. Europe’s up and coming stars are showing their abilities in Poland at the Under 21 European Championships. Meanwhile, the six continental champions, the world champions Germany, and the hosts of the next World Cup, Russia, are doing battle in the Confederations Cup. With quality football to enjoy this weekend, we’ve put together three trebles whether you prefer less risk or a bigger potential pay out.

Easy Winner – 11/10 (BetVictor)

  • Russia to beat New Zealand (1/4) – New Zealand’s preparations for the Confederations Cup have been anything but perfect. The All Whites lost to both Northern Ireland and Belarus and will surely taste defeat again when they play Russia on Saturday.
  • Over 1.5 goals in Portugal v Mexico (2/5) – Both Portugal and Mexico set up with attacking formations. While Portugal like playing with two strikers, Mexico go for a front three. Both styles are effective and we should see goals when they meet in Russia.
  • Spain U21 to beat Macedonia U21 (1/5) – Spain have taken a hugely talented team to Poland for the Under 21 European Championships. They are overwhelming favourites to beat Macedonia and should oblige with a routine win.

Medium Risk – 5/1 (Sky Bet)

  • England U21 to beat Sweden U21 (17/20) – England beat Sweden when the two met in the group stage of the last Under 21 European Championships. Aidy Boothroyd’s men are the favourites to triumph once more and should do even if they’ll need their best stuff.
  • Mexico/draw double chance against Portugal (4/6) – Mexico have a good reason to take the Confederations Cup seriously. They need to make sure they’re ready for their Gold Cup defence next weekend and their added sharpness could catch Portugal by surprise when they meet on Sunday.
  • Germany to beat Australia and over 2.5 goals (10/11) – It took Brazil just 11 seconds to score against Australia on Tuesday. That’s music to the ears of this exciting young Germany side who should be able to get the better of the Socceroos and score plenty of goals while they’re at it.

Long Shot – 73/1 (Bet365)

  • Chris Wood to score against Russia (13/5) – Russia have big worries in terms of form and fitness in defence which isn’t good now they play with three centre backs. The Confederations Cup hosts should beat New Zealand but don’t be surprised if Chris Wood scores for the All Whites and moves a step closer to becoming the nation’s top goalscorer.
  • Over 3.5 goals in Portugal v Mexico (10/3) – Mexico have enough about them to get the better of Portugal but it’ll be tough for them to stop Cristiano Ronaldo and company from scoring. This could be a very entertaining match.
  • Cameroon to beat Chile (15/4) – Chile are the clear favourites for their match against Cameroon but that looks to underplay the Africa Cup of Nations champions. Cameroon have come a very long way since their 2015 Cup of Nations humiliation and they could just pick up a surprise win on Sunday evening.
