Cup football has dominated recently with the FA Cup quarter finals taking place last weekend and yet more European drama in midweek. But it’s back to the bread and butter with a full slate of Premier League fixtures on Saturday and Sunday. To make the most of the 10 games we’ve gone through the matches to provide you with three trebles of increasing odds to hopefully add some profit to your pockets.
Easy Winner – 27/20 (Sky Bet)
- Everton to beat Hull (8/13) – The initial optimism at Hull after Marco Silva took over has all but evaporated. He’s criticised the way the club is run and looks to be leaving in the summer. Expect Hull to find Everton too strong for them at Goodison Park.
- Over 1.5 goals in Tottenham v Southampton (1/4) – Southampton gained a certain amount of confidence from their EFL Cup defeat against Man Utd. They’ve since taken the game to the opposition and that will be no different at White Hart Lane where both teams should be among the goals.
- Under 3.5 goals in Middlesbrough v Man Utd (2/9) – Middlesbrough look to be in real trouble and are finding it especially hard to score goals. That won’t change against Man Utd who are short of attacking options but are very difficult to break down.
Medium Risk – 8/1 (BetVictor)
- Burnley to beat Sunderland (2/1) – Burnley’s woeful away record may have continued against Liverpool last weekend but they did at least show much more adventure at Anfield. A similar performance will see the Clarets inflict another damaging blow on Sunderland.
- Crystal Palace to beat Watford (10/11) – This is exactly the sort of game that Crystal Palace must win if they are to secure their Premier League survival. Happily for the Eagles, Watford are in poor form while Sam Allardyce’s training looks to be having an impact at Selhurst Park.
- Man Utd to beat Middlesbrough (4/7) – Man Utd and Jose Mourinho are now fighting on two fronts to try and secure Champions League football next season. The Europa League offers a way to Europe’s top table but they’re not yet ready to write off the top four which should get a little closer after beating Middlesbrough.
Long Shot – 47/1 (Bet365)
- Chelsea to beat Stoke to nil (6/4) – Chelsea can pretty much coast through until the end of the season. As long as they defend well, Antonio Conte’s team cannot be caught. Expect the Blues to be in control and win with relative comfort at the Bet365 Stadium.
- Swansea to beat Bournemouth and both teams to score (9/2) – Bournemouth have finally shown a bit of battle. They drew at Old Trafford and saw off West Ham but Swansea could be about to end the Cherries’ mini revival. Paul Clement’s team are much improved and should have the firepower to claim all three points at the Vitality Stadium.
- Man City to beat Liverpool and both teams to score (5/2) – Liverpool flattered to deceive against Burnley, showing there is still much work for Jurgen Klopp to do. The Reds should score at the Etihad but avoiding defeat is another matter entirely.
