With the Christmas festivities out of the way, Boxing Day has been overtaken by football once again. December 26th is a traditional day in the English football calendar, and almost every side is in action on Monday. With a full round of Premier League games round the corner, there are plenty of big clashes, and we’re expecting to see a lot of entertaining contests to clear the Christmas hangovers.
Boxing Day feels like the perfect day for a both teams to score accumulator, and we suggest looking across the 10 Premier League fixtures between Monday and Wednesday for that bet. There are four live games across those three days, and there are quite a few contests which could end up being very high scoring clashes. Ahead of the penultimate round of games of 2016, we’ve gone over each fixture and picked out some BTTS betting tips.
Monday 26th December 2016
- Watford v Crystal Palace (8/11 with Sky Bet) – All but one of Palace’s away games have seen both teams score. Watford have only failed to score once here, so we can see both teams finding the net in this clash.
- Arsenal v West Brom (10/11 with Coral) – West Brom may have lost to United, but they’ve still been in good form this term. They’ve found the net in five of their last six away days, so we’re backing BTTS here.
- Swansea v West Ham (4/7 with Betfair) – Swansea have conceded three or more goals in four of their last five matches. The Hammers have seen both teams score in 75% of their away games this season. They’ve scored in seven straight, while they’ve conceded in four in a row away so get on both teams to score here.
- Leicester v Everton (7/10 with BetVictor) – Leicester may be back on form, but they’re still looking weak defensively. They’ve conceded in 10 straight, while they’ve scored in their last four at home. The Foxes are a wide open side, so it’s easy to see both sides finding the net here.
- Hull v Manchester City (10/11 with Bet365) – Man City have just one away clean sheet this season, so Hull have a chance to boost their scoring record at home. They’ve hit more than a goal per game on average here, so we’re backing both sides to find the net in this one, something that has happened in 75% of City’s away games.

- Liverpool v Stoke (19/20 with Betfair) – A lot has been made of Liverpool’s poor defensive record, and their troubles at the back. Stoke have scored in 88% of their away games, so we can see them making things tough for the Reds this week. We’re backing both of these sides to score here.
Tuesday 28th December 2016
- Southampton v Tottenham (17/20 with Coral) – Southampton have conceded at least two goals in every home game against Spurs since they were last promoted. However, the Saints have scored in 75% of their home games, so we can see both hitting the target here and BTTS is well priced at odds of 17/20.
