The international break does leave us with a few too many empty evenings, but we do have two big nights of football to make the most of. With the World Cup just a couple of months away, the return of internationals isn’t quite that bad. On top of that, there’s also the fact that these clashes tend to give us some pretty good both teams to score odds, which tend to be bigger than club encounters. That makes this week’s line up of friendly games the perfect time to put together a BTTS accumulator, especially when you consider the impressive list of clashes that we have to look forward to across Friday night and Tuesday night.
This week sees England in some high profile meetings with two of the biggest sides not to compete at the World Cup. They head to Amsterdam on Friday to play Ronald Koeman’s Netherlands, before hosting Italy on Tuesday. Elsewhere, the big contenders are in action. Brazil and France both take on hosts Russia, while Germany go up against Spain and Brazil. Ahead of the week’s biggest games, we’ve gone through all of the matches and picked out our both teams to score tips, which you can see below.

- Russia v Brazil (Evens with Coral) – Russia have picked up 3-3 draws at home to Spain and Belgium of late, and we expect them to continue their strong form against Brazil. The Samba stars are in great shape and they should score here.
- Germany v Spain (4/5 with Bet365) – Even if these two sides rotate, they have incredible strength in depth. We are guaranteed some great attacking talent in this game, and we see these two playing out an entertaining game in Dusseldorf.
- Netherlands v England (4/5 with Betfred) – England should be confident given Holland’s qualifying failure, but the hosts have won eight of their last nine matches ahead of this game, which makes us think that they’ll grab a goal in this clash.

- Russia v France (10/11 with Betfair) – The Russians should pose a threat to a French outfit who have conceded in each of their last five away friendlies, but this French attack has racked up eight goals in their last three trips – at Holland, Italy and Germany.
- Germany v Brazil (13/19 with Coral) – This rematch from that infamous World Cup semi-final also sees Neymar miss out, but the Brazilians should still have enough attacking talent to hurt the Germans on Tuesday night, who have one win in their last five friendlies.
- England v Italy (5/6 with BetVictor) – England need to be wary of this Italian side. They may not be heading to Russia, but the visitors have arguably got more strength in depth up front that the Three Lions. The likes of Ciro Immobile and Lorenzo Insigne should trouble the hosts, while Southgate’s men should score even without Harry Kane.
