After a particularly long international break, the Premier League returns on Saturday. The top flight is going to hit the ground running, kicking off with the Merseyside derby early on Saturday. That’s followed by a packed weekend, which wraps up with Arsenal taking on Manchester City. With so little time left before the end of the season, these are some crucial weeks ahead, both at the top and bottom of the table.
With the strugglers battling hard and the leaders looking a little nervous, we should see a goal-packed weekend ahead. There’s plenty of value around in the both teams to score market, and we’re aiming to take advantage of that with a large accumulator. We’ve gone through the Premier League fixtures and picked out our BTTS tips for the coming round of games. You can see our predictions and our reasoning behind them below.
Saturday 1st April 2017
- Liverpool v Everton (13/15 with Coral) – Romelu Lukaku’s recent form should guarantee that he causes problems for Liverpool’s defence. The Reds have scored in 93% of their home games, while the Toffees should grab a goal or two.
- Burnley v Tottenham (10/11 with Coral) – Burnley have scored in nine straight home games, a record which should continue against Spurs. However, the visitors have plenty of attacking talent, even without Harry Kane, so we’re backing BTTS in this game.
- Chelsea v Crystal Palace (5/4 with Ladbrokes) – Chelsea have conceded in their last six league games, while Palace have now won three on the spin. It’s hard to imagine them continuing that run at Stamford Bridge, but we’re backing both teams to score given those two streaks.
- Hull v West Ham (8/11 with Betfred) – Hull have just one clean sheet at home all season, but they’ve scored in their last five matches here. We’re backing BTTS in this clash, with the Hammers seeing both teams score in 79% of their trips this season.
- Leicester v Stoke (5/6 with Betfair) – Leicester have scored nine times in three league games under Craig Shakespeare. However, their defensive problems are not going away. Stoke should be able to find the net at the King Power, having scored in 76% of their league matches.
Sunday 2nd April 2017
- Swansea v Middlesbrough (19/20 with Bet365) – Swansea have hit scoring form at home, finding the net seven times in three outings at the Liberty. However, they possess the worst defensive record in the Premier League. Middlesbrough should be the latest side to trouble the Swans’ defence, so we’re backing both teams to score on Sunday.
- Arsenal v Manchester City (40/85 with BetVictor) – The Gunners’ terrible form continued against West Brom before the international break, and City should add to their defensive woes. However, Arsenal have found the net in 18 straight league matches, so we’re backing both teams to score to round off a packed weekend of top flight action.
