It’s been a few weeks since we had a full, uninterrupted weekend of Premier League action. While cup games have taken priority of late, with European ties becoming the main focus for managers, the league returns with a full schedule. It’s even more important as this is the final set of games in March, with the league returning next month, following the international break. So, will we have an entertaining round of matches before we move into the penultimate month of the campaign?
With all the Premier League sides back after some were on FA Cup duty, we’re hoping that will lead to plenty of goals. Manchester City’s meeting with Liverpool is the pick of the bunch, and that could well prove to be a high scoring affair. Ahead of the coming games, we’ve cast an eyes across the fixtures and picked out the encounters which we think will see goals for both side. We’ve got seven both teams to score tips across the weekend, so take a look and win some cash.
Saturday 18th March 2017
- West Brom v Arsenal (4/5 with Betfred) – Arsenal have struggled defensively at the Hawthorns in recent years. They’ve conceded in five of their last six visits. On the bright side, they’re clinical away from home and they’ve scored in all of those six visits to this ground.
- Crystal Palace v Watford (evens with Betfair) – Two awful defences meet at Selhurst Park, with the Hornets averaging close to two goals against per away game. However, they are packed with attacking talent, so we see them causing trouble for 17th placed Palace.
- Everton v Hull (19/20 with Bet365) – Hull are looking a lot more clinical up front under Marco Silva, and that should continue against an Everton side who aren’t the most defensively solid. However, with Romelu Lukaku in great form, we can see both teams scoring when they meet at Goodison on Saturday.
- Sunderland v Burnley (17/20 with Ladbrokes) – Burnley haven’t won away from home all season, keeping just a single clean sheet on their travels. However, they’ve scored in their last seven away games, so both teams to score seems well worth backing here.
- Bournemouth v Swansea (4/7 with Sky Bet) – When the two worst defences in the Premier League go head to head, goals seem more than likely. These two are both useful going forward, but their awful defensive records should see both teams score at least once, an outcome that is priced at 4/7 with Sky Bet.
Sunday 19th March 2017
- Tottenham v Southampton (3/4 with Coral) – Spurs are very strong at home in terms of results, but they let in two against Everton in their last home game. Manolo Gabbiadini is in clinical form, and we can see him causing problems here for the visitors.
- Manchester City v Liverpool (4/7 with Bet365) – Given how strong both of these sides are going forward, goals should be likely. Liverpool are great away to the top sides, but City have an in form front three, which is why we’re backing BTTS.
