There was no shortage of entertainment in the first legs of the Champions League and Europa League semi finals. We’re expecting more of the same with the return legs this week and have picked out our selection of the best bets and created three trebles for you to get your teeth stuck into for the three days of action.
Easy Winner – 6/4 (BetVictor)
- Over 1.5 goals in Juventus v Monaco (1/4) – Monaco have no choice but to go all out for the win at Juventus Stadium on Tuesday. The Ligue 1 side may be able to score but they surely won’t be able to stop this quality Juventus outfit.
- Both teams to score in Lyon v Ajax (4/9) – Ajax were phenomenal against Lyon in Amsterdam. That leaves the French side with it all to do. Lyon should win against Ajax but the hugely talented Dutch side should come up with a goal or two of their own. BTTS has been a winner in all seven of Lyon’s Europa games this term so 4/9 seems big.
- Under 3.5 goals in Man Utd v Celta Vigo (4/11) – Man Utd were significantly stronger than Celta Vigo on Thursday night. The Red Devils still have much work to do but they should control the return match at Old Trafford and keep scoring low.
Medium Risk – 31/2 (Sky Bet)
- Juventus to beat Monaco (4/6) – Monaco finally found a team better than them last week. Leonardo Jardim’s men have won many fans for their attacking, entertaining style of football but it was not enough to catch out Juventus who should secure their place in the Cardiff final by winning at home.
- Atletico Madrid and Real Madrid to draw (13/5) – There’s no question that Real Madrid took the wind out of Atletico’s sails with their 3-0 win last week. Atletico will do all they can to get back into the tie but Real should be able to match anything the home side throw at them.
- Man Utd to beat Celta Vigo to nil (7/4) – Man Utd looked significantly stronger than Celta Vigo last week. That advantage is only going to get stronger at Old Trafford and Jose Mourinho’s men should be able to win the second leg to nil just like they did in the first leg.
Long Shot – 70/1 (Bet365)
- Juventus to beat Monaco and both teams to score (12/5) – Combining a bet on Juventus beating Monaco and both teams to score looks a solid betting option for this one. Monaco will make a game of it but Juve look far too strong to be overly worried.
- Ajax to score over 1.5 goals against Lyon (13/8) – Lyon have it all to do against Ajax. The French side do have some quality attacking players to call upon for the home leg but can their defence stop Ajax? Not on the evidence of last week’s game, so this could be another chastening night for Lyon.
- 2-0 correct score in Man Utd v Celta Vigo (7/1) – Celta Vigo will have to throw everything they’ve got at Man Utd to have any chance of making it through to the Europa League final. That’s still unlikely to be enough as the home side should have a fairly comfortable night.
