Football Accumulator Tips (23rd and 24th June 2014)

As ever we’ve got three more football accumulators for you, with a nice range of odds on offer to suit your betting approach and the risk/reward ratio you prefer. It’s the final round of matches in Groups A, B, C and D this time, which means some great games including Costa Rica v England and Netherlands v Chile but more importantly it’s about finding the winners!

Easy Winner – 6/5 (BetVictor)

  • Brazil to beat Cameroon (2/15) – Brazil let us down against Mexico but they’ll find things a lot easier against Cameroon and we fancy them to win this one very easily indeed and get our acca off to a solid start.
  • Netherlands v Chile over 1.5 goals (1/4) – This one could be a real thriller between sides who have scored at least two goals in each of their two previous games at the World Cup and who are far better going forward than they are defending. As such over 1.5 goals looks a banker to us.
  • Australia v Spain over 2.5 goals (4/7) – This is another one which could be highly entertaining with no pressure on either side (as they’re both out!) and their games thus far averaging more than four goals each.

Medium Risk – 19/2 (BetVictor)

  • Croatia v Mexico both teams to score (20/23) – Croatia need to win to qualify and that will force them into attack. Full of confidence after beating Cameroon 4-0 and with Mario Mandzukic firing and fresh they can get at Mexico but we doubt they can stop them scoring too.
  • Ivory Coast to beat Greece (11/10) – Ivory Coast will be far, far too good for Greece and their pace and power should enable them to record an easy win. Ivory Coast are massive at the right side of evens and this looks a fabulous addition to any acca in our eyes.
  • Colombia to beat Japan (29/20) – Colombia have proved themselves the class act in their group so far, making light of the absence of star striker Radamel Falcao, to record 3-0 and 2-1 wins over Greece and Ivory Coast and they can top the group with a third win here..

Long Shot – 30/1 (Bet365)

  • Ivory Coast to beat Greece (21/20) – This may be relatively short odds but, as above, we’re all over this bet and it’s a nice easy way to get the accumulator off to a winning start.
  • Chile to beat Netherlands (7/4) – Chile have been one of the most impressive sides at the World Cup so far and their mix of familiarity with the conditions, underdog status, team spirit and sprinklings of magic from Alexis Sanchez and Arturo Vidal make them great value here.
  • Australia and Spain to draw (17/4) – Australia have pushed Netherlands and Chile very close and we think they can go one better here by getting a draw that would see them finish above Spain in the group. To put that into perspective Australia came into the World Cup the lowest ranked side, whilst Spain were ranked number one by the magicians at FIFA!
