The Premier League returns this week after the international break in which England moved a step closer towards qualifying for the World Cup in Russia. Saturday and Sunday contain some key games both in the battle to secure a top four place and to avoid relegation so let’s see if we can find a few winners with our three trebles of increasing odds below.
Easy Winner – 6/4 (Sky Bet)
- Under 3.5 goals in Burnley v Tottenham (1/3) – Tottenham travel to Turf Moor as the favourites but they’ll be wary about this game given Burnley’s amazing form at home. The absence of Harry Kane through injury makes Spurs’ task all the more difficult so don’t expect too many goals in Lancashire.
- Over 1.5 goals in Hull v West Ham (2/7) – West Ham travel to the KCOM Stadium in dire need of a win after some very poor results. However, Slaven Bilic’s side have suffered a number of injuries and are shaky enough at the back with a full strength squad. Hull need a big win as well so there should be plenty of chances and goals.
- Both teams to score in Arsenal v Man City (4/9) – After four defeats in five games, Arsenal need a big win but that will be very difficult when Man City visit the Emirates. Expect goals for both teams in Sunday’s big game.
Medium Risk – 17/2 (BetVictor)
- Southampton to beat Bournemouth (13/20) – The South Coast derby is far from the fiercest in English football but it’s still an important game for both sets of fans. Southampton got the better of Bournemouth in the first game at the Vitality Stadium and should complete the double at St Mary’s.
- Chelsea to beat Crystal Palace to nil (20/21) – Chelsea know they are close to the Premier League title and that’s begun to show in their performances. They’re keeping the ball and limiting their attacking intent, and similar tactics here should result in a win without conceding against Crystal Palace.
- West Ham to beat Hull (2/1) – West Ham have suffered some key injuries since losing to Leicester last time out but they’ve got a real chance of picking up a huge three points against Hull. The Tigers are really struggling and West Ham should win an entertaining match.
Long Shot – 57/1 (Bet365)
- Man United and West Brom to draw (4/1) – West Brom have been told by Tony Pulis to enjoy their football now that they’ve broken through the 40 point barrier. That resulted in a big win against Arsenal and could see them take home a point from Old Trafford.
- Watford to beat Sunderland to nil (15/8) – After putting four past Crystal Palace, Sunderland have failed to score and they could well draw another blank when they visit Vicarage Road. Watford should secure the win they need to pull away from the bottom three.
- Man City to beat Arsenal and both teams to score (3/1) – It’s difficult to imagine that Arsenal will not breach the rather shaky defence of Man City but that will not necessarily stop the away side from winning. Things could be about to get a lot tougher for Arsene Wenger.
