This weekend sees the fourth round of fixtures in UEFA qualifying for the 2018 World Cup. The groups are really taking shape now and some of European football’s powerhouses can assert themselves further on their opponents. As ever with these international breaks there are some dead rubbers but also plenty of games which could go either way. With such a variety of betting options we’ve put together three accumulators of increasing odds for you to take advantage of below.
Easy Winner – 13/10 (BetVictor)
- Denmark to beat Kazakhstan (2/9) – Denmark have been very poor so far in Group E but they will surely pick up a vital three points when they host the out of form Kazakhstan on Friday.
- Ukraine to beat Finland (3/10) – With Croatia and Iceland playing each other this weekend there is a chance for Ukraine to close the gap on the top two. Ukraine simply cannot afford to drop points at home to Finland.
- Over 1.5 goals in Wales v Serbia (4/9) – Serbia, who are top of Group D, will be licking their lips with all of Wales’ injury problems in defence at the moment. Wales are going to have to score to take anything out of the game so expect plenty of goals.
Medium Risk – 5/1 (Sky Bet)
- Under 2.5 goals in Northern Ireland v Azerbaijan (4/9) – Michael O’Neill’s Northern Ireland have a great chance to win a big game at Windsor Park on Friday night. It’s not going to be easy however so expect a tight affair in Belfast.
- Czech Republic to beat Norway (19/20) – If the Czech Republic are to have any chance of playing in the World Cup they’ve simply got to beat Norway. Pavel Vrba’s men are without a win but should be able to right that wrong on Friday night.
- Albania to beat Israel (5/4) – Albania clearly enjoyed their first appearance at a major international tournament over the summer. They’re putting together a good run in a very tough Group G with two wins so far. They can win their third game when they host Israel at home on Saturday.
Long Shot – 56/1 (Bet365)
- England to beat Scotland and both teams to score (11/4) – Scotland have been very poor so far in qualification but are sure to raise their game on Friday night at Wembley. The England have the quality to win the game but with no settled team for Southgate to call on, it would be no shock to see Scotland score.
- Over 3.5 goals in Croatia v Iceland (12/5) – Iceland earned a reputation for being very difficult to beat in their run to Euro 2016. They continued to defend in number at Euro 2016 but they’ve been much more open in World Cup qualifying. With both sides going for the win, there could be plenty of goalmouth action in this one.
- Poland to score in both halves against Romania (7/2) – Romania will be no pushovers but if Poland play at their top level they’ve got enough about them to win on Friday night. Poland can be deadly going forward and will pose a constant threat throughout the match.
