It’s all about the Euro 2016 qualifiers this weekend as England host Slovenia, Wales travel to Belgium and there’s a fine match in prospect north of the border as Scotland play Ireland. With so many games to choose from we’re confident of picking out some top accumulator bets for you, so now you just have to decide how lucky you feel as you pick between our Easy Winner, Medium Risk or Long Shot accas (or why not try all three?).
Easy Winner – 4/5 (BetVictor)
- Portugal to beat Armenia (1/6) – Portugal may have lost at home to Albania in the current qualifying campaign, but they will have learned from that shocking result and will take no chances here. A comfortable home win is definitely on the cards for Ronaldo and co.
- England to beat Slovenia (3/10) – England have played three, won three, conceded none in their qualifying campaign so far, and while they have been far from imperious, the attacking options at Roy Hodgson’s disposal makes us confident England will win this one with consummate ease.
- Greece to beat Faroe Islands (2/13) – Had Greece not performed so poorly in their group so far (they’ve been beaten at home by Romania and Northern Ireland) their odds would be a lot shorter than they are. As it is, they represent decent value in this acca as even the Greeks should overcome the Faroes.
- Spain to beat Belarus (1/16) – We’re so confident of this acca that we’re throwing an extra match in to bump up the odds slightly. I say slightly because Spain are very short to beat Belarus, but we simply can’t see them stumbling at home despite losing in Slovakia earlier in qualifying.
Medium Risk – 17/2 (Bet365)
- England v Slovenia – both teams to score (6/4) – England might have kept three clean sheets so far in qualifying, but we feel this has been more about luck than design and their shaky backline could be exposed against a Slovenia side who have already beaten Switzerland this season.
- Scotland v Republic of Ireland – both teams to score (Evens) – Another match in which we can see both sides netting is the crucial Group D clash between Scotland and Ireland. With both sensing they have a chance to qualify from this group they will be pushing hard for the three points and an exciting, goal-filled game should ensue.
- Poland to beat Georgia (19/20) – Also in Group D, Poland have put themselves in a strong position after beating world champions Germany and they will be keen to capitalise by winning in Georgia. The Poles have a strong team with plenty of dynamism and we think they’ll win this one with ease.
Long Shot – 88/1 (Sky Bet)
- England to win by a two goal margin (11/4) – England have performed reasonably well in qualifying so far without really setting the world on fire. A two goal margin of victory on Saturday looks about right to us as England do enough but not much more, as tends to be their way in qualifying.
- Belgium v Wales – draw (4/1) – While Belgium are the strong favourites for victory here, Wales have the likes of Aaron Ramsey and Gareth Bale available, both of whom have the skill and desire to push their side to a point if they weather the early storm.
- Iceland to beat Czech Republic (11/4) – These sides have both played three and won three in qualifying thus far and both have beaten Netherlands and Turkey. Potentially crucially, however, Iceland are yet to concede a goal and the Czechs have let in four. We feel the visitors will have enough to post another famous victory as they attempt to make up for narrowly missing out on the Brazil World Cup.
