With a second round of Premier League fixtures coming this week, there’s going to be plenty to keep us busy over the weekend. Fresh from a huge, title-defining clash at Anfield, Chelsea now host Arsenal at Stamford Bridge. Can they put even more distance between themselves and the third placed Gunners, who are nine points off the top? It’s certainly going to be an entertaining clash, and we’re expecting plenty of goals when these two attacking sides clash.
In fact, we can see quite a goal heavy weekend in the top flight, and it helps that the both teams to score odds are looking very good this weekend. There are quite a few well priced bets, especially given how open the league has become in recent years. Saturday 4th February 2017
- Chelsea v Arsenal (3/4 with Betfair) – Chelsea have scored in all of their home games this season, while Arsenal have scored in 10 straight away from home, which has us backing BTTS in this huge clash.
- Crystal Palace v Sunderland (20/23 with Coral) – Palace don’t look defensively set under Sam Allardyce, and they’ve kept just one home clean sheet all season. Meanwhile, Sunderland have conceded in every away game, and that points to goals here.
- Hull v Liverpool (10/11 with Bet365) – Hull have won their last three at home, which should give Liverpool a scare. However, the return of Sadio Mane should boost the Reds going forward so BTTS looks likely.
- Watford v Burnley (11/10 with Betfair) – Burnley are the worst away side in the league, claiming just a single point on the road all season. They have managed to score in their last three on the road, and they take on Watford next, who have conceded in 83% of games this term.
- West Brom v Stoke (10/11 with Sky Bet) – Stoke travel to the Hawthorns to face former boss Tony Pulis. That also pits Saido Berahino against his former club. With 73% of Stoke’s away games seeing both teams score, we’re backing a repeat this weekend.
Sunday 5th February 2017
- Manchester City v Swansea (5/6 with Coral) – Manchester City need to be wary of Swansea, who scored three at Anfield in their last away game. Given that the Citizens have kept just two home clean sheets all term, we’re backing another goal for the Swans here. However, City should have no trouble scoring against the worst defence in the league.
- Leicester v Manchester United (evens with Ladbrokes) – Leicester have been wide open against the league’s top sides this season, but they should be able to find the net at home to Manchester United on Sunday, especially now Riyad Mahrez is back from the African Cup of Nations.
