The Christmas period is often felt to be one of the most important times in the Premier League season as the games come thick and fast. In the run up to the festive fixture frenzy teams will be looking to put themselves in the best position and with it looking tight at the top there could well be some Christmas crackers.
We have an early present this weekend as Chelsea prepare to take on Manchester City at Stamford Bridge and that match opens this week’s set of both teams to score tips.
Saturday 3rd December 2016
- Chelsea v Manchester City (4/7 with Bet365) – Both of these sides have been in good form and both have plenty of goalscorers in their ranks so this should be a very entertaining match in west London. Both sides have scored 29 goals already this season, but at the other end, City have seen six of their last seven matches end without a clean sheet.
- Sunderland v Leicester City (4/6 with BetVictor) – Having secured Champions League qualification, Leicester will look to improve their league position and they should have no problem scoring against Sunderland’s back four. The home side however, have had some good results lately and BTTS looks a tempting option at the Stadium of Light.
- RB Leipzig v Schalke (3/4 with Bet365) – Switching to Germany now and there is a great match taking place in the east of the country. RB Leipzig lead the way in the Bundesliga and they have been playing some electric attacking football this season but they are coming up against a Schalke side who are bang in form and we’re backing BTTS at the Red Bull Arena.
- West Ham v Arsenal (8/13 with Betfred) – Arsenal have been in good form since the opening day of the season and with Alexis Sanchez and Olivier Giroud up front they have plenty of goals in them. This match is a fixture which traditionally produces a lot of goals and we think this weekend will be no different.
- Leeds United v Aston Villa (5/6 with Sky Bet) – This match was once a Premier League staple but with both clubs falling on hard times it is now part of Sky’s Championship coverage. It should be a cracking match for those who tune in with both sides up there in the form table.
Sunday 4th December 2016
- Bournemouth v Liverpool (8/13 with Bet365) – Liverpool’s gung-ho style of football can often leave them exposed on the break and given that Bournemouth are full of pace, Eddie Howe may be reasonably confident ahead of this one. Both sides have scored in seven of Liverpool’s last 10 league matches.
- Everton v Manchester United (4/5 with Coral) – Everton have been struggling for form a little since their great run at the beginning of the season but they are still a dangerous side. They face Manchester United on Sunday and we’re backing BTTS with United’s last three league matches finishing without a clean sheet.
