There has been plenty of football to get excited about lately and the League Cup round of 16 takes place this week. Liverpool have already been knocked out, but apart from that, all the big hitters are still in and all will expect to progress. We have ran through the fixtures to bring you seven top both teams to score betting tips.
Tuesday 24th October 2017
- Arsenal v Norwich City (7/10 with Bet365) – Arsenal snuck past Doncaster in the last round and this could be another tricky assignment for the Gunners. We would back them to advance to the quarter finals, but given the way they have been playing, both teams to score looks likely.
- Bristol City v Crystal Palace (4/6 with Betfred) – Crystal Palace have been struggling all season, but a win over Chelsea may well have given them a foundation for the rest of the season. As the Premier League side, you’d always back them to score, but Bristol City have been free scoring so far this season.
- Bournemouth v Middlesbrough (4/5 with Betfred) – This one is certainly a match which could go either way, but we fancy there to be goals nonetheless. Neither side have set the world alight so far this season, but Bournemouth have seen plenty of their recent matches finish without a clean sheet.
- Tottenham Hotspur v West Ham (8/13 with Bet365) – Tottenham Hotspur have one of the in-form strikers in the world and there don’t appear to be many sides capable of stopping Harry Kane at the minute. However, the home side don’t always have the best defensive record at Wembley and we think there will be goals in what promises to be a feisty London derby.
- Leicester City v Leeds United (4/5 with Bet365) – Leicester City have dispensed with Craig Shakespeare already this season and they will be targeting the cup as a way of getting their season back on track. They face a Leeds side who have been scoring and conceding in abundance this season and both teams to score looks a good bet in this one.
- Manchester City v Wolverhampton Wanderers (10/11 with Bet365) – Wolves caused a stir with some of their summer signings and they look to have hit the ground running. The Black Country side find themselves well in the promotion mix and they have plenty of goals in them. That said, whilst the visitors may score one, City could score seven if recent performances are anything to go by.
- Chelsea v Everton (10/11 with Bet365) – Everton have been struggling this season but they will be desperate for a win, even if it is in the League Cup The home side here have plenty of firepower, but the Blues have been conceding a few of late as well. With their recent Champions League match with Roma finishing 3-3, there could be quite a few goals at either end Stamford Bridge on Tuesday evening.
