There’s a return to action for the Champions League this week with another round of fixtures, as we approach the end of the group stage. There will be some high profile clashes and plenty of crunch encounters, but this competition usually tends to see plenty of goals. With some of Europe’s best sides and players on show, we expect entertainment. What better way is there to enjoy Tuesday and Wednesday night’s action than with a both teams to score accumulator from across Europe? With so many matches going on, we have run through the games to pick out a few matches that we are predicting to be full of goals.
The Champions League isn’t always the best place to find good prices on BTTS, but we think we’ve pulled out a few good bets ahead of the midweek action. The highlight of the round is obviously the huge clash between Juventus and Barcelona, with both sides gunning for top spot. There are five English sides in action of course, with four of them set for the last 16. Liverpool head to Sevilla with their qualification hopes on the line, making that the biggest test for any English side this week.

- Besiktas v Porto (4/5 with Ladbrokes) – Tuesday night opens with this clash in Turkey, with Besiktas in fine form. Not only have Besiktas seen both teams score in their last seven games, but it has landed in all but one of their Champions League games so far. Given that it also come in in five of their six group games last year, it seems like a great bet.
- Man City v Feyenoord (17/16 with Betfair) – Man City are likely to rotate heavily here, as Pep Guardiola said his team would switch focus from the Champions League after qualifying for the last 16. With Feyenoord scoring in three straight European games, we’re backing them to find the net against a weakened City.
- Napoli v Shakhtar Donetsk (8/13 with Bet365) – Napoli are another side who tend to rotate in Europe, as they’re more focused on the Serie A league title. With Shakhtar pushing for second spot, expect them to try and take advantage of Napoli’s changed defence, although their attack still poses a serious threat.
- Sevilla v Liverpool (8/13 with Betfair) – Sevilla have conceded in five of their six Champions League games so far, while Liverpool conceded in their first four before coming up against Maribor. Both defences look shaky to us here, so we’re backing BTTS.

- Basel v Man United (5/6 with Betfred) – Man United are another team who are free to rotate after booking their place in the next round. Jose Mourinho will want to save his squad for the Premier League, so we expect a changed United side, one which has a few promising attackers but are vulnerable at the back.
- Juventus v Barcelona (7/10 with Bet365) – Juventus hit three past Barca at home earlier this year, while Barca put three past Juve in the first group meeting. The Italians have seen BTTS land frequently in their domestic league, and we’re backing it to land once again here.
