Another enthralling set of Premier League fixtures is upon us, with the standout game being Chelsea’s trip to the Etihad to face Manchester City. There are also lots of potential selections for both teams to score coupons.
Here we have selected five matches we think will end with both teams scoring and thus will help make you a tidy profit.

Saturday 20th September 2014
- Swansea v Southampton (4/5 with Ladbrokes) – Swansea’s 100% record came to an end with a 4-2 defeat at Stamford Bridge last time out, but they still looked like a team very much capable of scoring goals. The away side have had to reshape their forward line quite a lot after many high profile departures over the summer, but they appear to be gelling quite nicely after a 4-0 victory over Newcastle in which new signing Graziano Pelle scored twice. Despite none of the last three games between these two side seeing both teams score, we expect this trend to be bucked on Saturday.
- Aston Villa v Arsenal (5/6 with Bet365) – Even though they are still without Christian Benteke, Villa look promising going forwards and this kind of game should suit their counter attacking style recently showcased in their 1-0 away win at Anfield. Arsenal meanwhile will be hoping for just their second league win of the season. Their new signing Alexis Sanchez really looks to be coming to terms with the Premier League and he is one of many potential goal threats in the Arsenal squad so we can see this being a yes for BTTS.
- West Ham v Liverpool (3/4 with Ladbrokes) – After both clashes last year saw both teams score this is our third selection. Liverpool’s defence continues to look shaky after a 1-0 defeat at home to Villa, whilst they will always look a threat going forward with Mario Balotelli expected to lead the line again in the absence of the injured Daniel Sturridge. Sam Allardyce’s side saw an influx of attacking players over the summer in an attempt to move away from the scrappy style Big Sam is renowned for. This looks to have made them more entertaining but also a little more susceptible at the back, especially in the 2-2 draw with Hull City on Monday nights football.

- Leicester v Manchester United (4/5 with Ladbrokes) – With Manchester United’s attacking depth and quality, it would take a brave man to bet against them not scoring in this one whilst Leicester have impressed in what has been a tough start to the season. After Angel Di Maria’s marvellous performance in the 4-0 win over QPR, we can’t see Leicester’s defence keeping him or any of the new group of “Galaticos” out. City however have scored three goals in their recent home draws with Everton and Arsenal and we expect them to score again in this one.
- Manchester City v Chelsea (7/10 with Ladbrokes) – What many view as a clash between the two strongest sides in the league, this game is likely to be a close nit affair. But with the attacking talents on show in this one we can certainly envisage both teams scoring. Jose Mourinho will likely “park the bus” as he did so successfully in the corresponding fixture last season, but with City having a copious amount of players who can pick a pass we can see them getting the breakthrough this time around. Meanwhile Chelsea look equally as able to create chances, and with Diego Costa looking almost certain to score in every game he plays, it seems that this one will finish with goals for both teams.
