April was a packed month as far as football was concerned, with so much action crammed into just 30 days. With just one month of the season left, this is no time to slow down, which means the start of May is heaven in terms of live football. Starting from Monday night there’s so much top quality action to carry us through to the weekend, as we move towards the final stages of the season. The list includes top flight action plus European clashes, and there’s so much to look forward to.
With so many big games coming our way, we thought this would be the perfect time for a both teams to score accumulator. With matches every single night, there should be no shortage of top class games on show. Ahead of this week’s football, we’ve picked out some both teams to score tips stretching from Monday to Friday. You can see our prediction below, along with our reasoning behind each.
Monday 1st May 2017
- Watford v Liverpool (4/5 with Betfred) – Liverpool’s season has been hampered by struggles against the lesser sides in the league, and now they visit a Watford side who have scored in 88% of their home games, which has us backing BTTS here.
- Malaga v Sevilla (8/15 with Ladbrokes) – Sevilla may have been dumped out of Europe early, but they’ve got to secure a place in next season’s Champions League. Their form has tailed off lately, which should see Malaga score, but the Europa League holders have enough talent to cause problems themselves.
Tuesday 2nd May 2017
- Real Madrid v Atletico Madrid (10/11 with Bet365) – Atletico Madrid have seen both teams score in both their away Champions League ties this year, while all four of Real’s knockout ties have seen both sides find the net.
Wednesday 3rd May 2017
- Ajax v Lyon (8/15 with Coral) – Lyon are another side with a great scoring record of late. They’ve scored and conceded in all six of their Europa League knockout matches, racking up 19 goals in those games. That prompts us to back more goals at the Amsterdam Arena.
- Monaco v Juventus (8/11 with Coral) – Monaco may be facing Europe’s best defence, but the Ligue 1 side have scored three in four straight Champions League games. Juve have enough talent to expose Monaco’s defensive problems, so we’re backing BTTS in this clash/
Thursday 4th May 2017
- Celta Vigo v Manchester United (evens with Betfair) – These two sides are in great scoring form in Europe, with United finding the net in 11 straight Europa League ties. Celta have scored in 100% of their matches in this competition, which makes BTTS seem likely.
Friday 5th May 2017
- West Ham v Tottenham (4/5 with Betfred) – Tottenham travel to West Ham on Friday night aiming to continue their push for the title. Spurs are in fine fettle, but West Ham have scored in five of their last six at home to the men from north London.
