Both Teams To Score (BTTS) Tips – 1st to 4th January 2018

There are four days of consecutive Premier League football to start 2018 off in style and there could be some highly entertaining matches coming on the horizon. There is the potential for there to be shocks as well as one or two crushing victories.

However, the only thing we care about is whether both teams manage to hit the back of the net and as ever, we have had a look through the matches in the Premier League to bring you seven games where the keepers could be overworked.

Monday 1st January 2018

  • Burnley v Liverpool (Evens with Betfair) – Burnley have been impressive once again at home this season and they have a decent recent record at Turf Moor over Liverpool. The Reds can score for fun, but they have conceded plenty of goals on the road, something Jürgen Klopp will be looking to address.
  • Leicester City v Huddersfield Town (Evens with Betfred) – Leicester City are one of the BTTS kings in the Premier League and we are backing both keepers to be busy in this clash at the King Power Stadium. David Wagner’s side look as though they are in a bit of trouble, but they do have goals in them so both teams to score looks a decent bet here.
  • Southampton v Crystal Palace (10/11 with Betfred) – Crystal Palace head to the south coast after a tough couple of games and they will see this as a real chance to climb out of the relegation zone. The Eagles have seen quite a few of their recent matches end in high scorelines and we fancy there to be plenty of goals at St Mary’s.
  • Everton v Manchester United (19/20 with Bet365) – Manchester United have kept the most clean sheets in the league, but they have looked a little ropey defensively over the festive period. Everton don’t bang in the goals, but they have carried more of a threat since Big Sam took charge and BTTS is priced fairly here.

Tuesday 2nd January 2018

  • Manchester City v Watford (10/11 with Betfair) – Watford have seen their form levels drop off somewhat after an excellent start to the season, but we think they could cause Man City problems. The Hornets are a big, physical side and whilst they could well lose, we fancy them to bag a goal or two.

Wednesday 3rd January 2018

  • Arsenal v Chelsea (8/15 with Betfair) – This game has got both teams to score written all over it, The last time Arsenal met a top side at the Emirates, it finished 3-3 as they drew with Liverpool. This clash could well see a similar amount of goals scored.

Thursday 4th January 2018

  • Tottenham Hotspur v West Ham (19/20 with Bet365) – Rounding off the football over the festive season is West Ham’s trip to London rivals Tottenham. The Hammers have hit the back of the net with a bit more regularity of late but at the other end, we can’t see them stopping Harry Kane. Back BTTS for a post-Christmas boost.
