The FA Cup is back this weekend and with two non-league sides left in the competition there is the potential for some big shocks. Both Lincoln and Sutton feature in our BTTS tips for the weekend as we look at the best of the cup action as well as one game from the Championship.
Saturday 18th February 2017
- Burnley v Lincoln City (evens with Ladbrokes) – Lincoln City will be looking to make it to the quarter finals this weekend when they take on Premier League Burnley. The home side shouldn’t underestimate the Imps – who have knocked out two Championship sides so far – and we’d back both keepers to be kept busy in this one.
- Barnsley v Brighton and Hove Albion (8/11 with Betfred) – There were goals galore last weekend in the Championship and we think that this match at Oakwell will see more of the same. These two are amongst the highest scorers in the division, but with both on a dodgy run of form, three points here would do the world of good.
- Millwall v Leicester City (10/11 with Bet365) – Leicester have had a torrid time on the road this season and Millwall will be licking their lips at the thought of knocking out the champions. The home side will fancy their chances but there is no disputing that the Foxes have the quality in their side to overcome the Londoners.
- Huddersfield Town v Manchester City (7/10 with Betfair) – Huddersfield Town are one of the in form sides across the country and they will be high on confidence heading into this clash with Manchester City. They would have to play very well to stop Pep Guardiola’s side from scoring, but you wouldn’t bet against David Wagner’s causing an upset in West Yorkshire and at least earning a score draw.
- Wolves v Chelsea (17/20 with Coral) – Having beaten Liverpool at Anfield in the fourth round, Wolves would’ve been hoping for an easier draw than Premier League table toppers Chelsea in the fifth round. However, that is what the Black Country side will be up against and we can certainly see them rattling the Blues. Wolves are a good outfit on their day and they will raise their game for the occasion so we expect goals aplenty at Molineux.
Sunday 19th February 2017
- Fulham v Tottenham Hotspur (4/6 with Bet365) – Sunday’s FA Cup tie is a London derby from Craven Cottage where Tottenham take on Fulham. The visitors made very hard work of League Two outfit Wycombe in the last round and with Fulham’s matches seeing plenty of goals scored, this could be a cracking cup tie.
Monday 20th February 2017
- Sutton United v Arsenal (evens with Ladbrokes) – Sutton United’s reward for beating Championship side Leeds United in the last round is a home tie against Arsenal. The Gunners are obviously big favourites and it would take something special from Sutton to stop them scoring, but on their plastic pitch, the National League outfit will certainly have no fear.
