After a packed week of Champions League action, there’s more to come just after Easter weekend. The last eight in Europe’s premier competition have all shown a great scoring touch so far in the competition, so we’re expecting an exciting finale to the quarter-finals. However, there’s more than just European action to look forward to, with a full round of Championship action coming too.
The second tier has a packed few days, with fixtures on Friday and Monday. With plenty of tired legs likely for that crucial second round of fixtures, we can see some high scoring affairs on Monday. Ahead of a busy week in England and in Europe, we’ve picked out a both teams to score accumulator. With so much action spread out across the week, this seems to be the perfect time to pick out a BTTS bet or two.
Monday 17th April 2017
- Blackburn v Bristol City (5/6 with Betfred) – These two sides are involved in a bitter fight at the bottom of the table, with Bristol City just a place above third-bottom Rovers. Both have been awful at the back this term, and we expect that to continue, as we’re backing both to score.
- Cardiff v Nottingham Forest (10/11 with Bet365) – Cardiff have managed to keep a clean sheet in just 20% of their league matches, and that’s a concern ahead of this meeting with struggling Forest. Home advantage should see the Welsh side score, so we’re backing BTTS in this one.
- QPR v Sheffield Wednesday (4/5 with Ladbrokes) – QPR head into this game having seen both teams score in their last nine at Loftus Road, and play-off chasing Sheffield Wednesday should add to that run when these two clash on Monday.
Tuesday 18th April 2017
- Leicester v Atletico Madrid (19/20 with Bet365) – Leicester need to push for at least one goal in this home leg to have any chance of making it through to the semis. While they’re 1-0 down, their heroics against Sevilla should help them find the net here, but we back an experienced Atletico side to find the net too and effectively kill the tie off.
- Real Madrid v Bayern Munich (2/5 with Labrokes) – Bayern Munich will be desperately pushing forward for an away goal in Madrid, after losing 2-1 at home, The Bavarians should score, but their selection worries at centre-back should see the European champions find the net too to bring home our BTTS bet.
Wednesday 19th April 2017
- Barcelona v Juventus (4/7 with Betfred) – Juventus know a goal in the Camp Nou will basically end this tie as a contest, as they have a much stronger defence than PSG did in their visit here. However, Juve’s backline will struggle to keep the MSN quiet all night, so we’re backing BTTS.
- Monaco v Borussia Dortmund (4/11 with Coral) – Monaco have averaged three goals per game at home in the league, and hit three in their last three European matches. We’re backing them to add to that, but Dortmund should be able to equalise, as they need plenty of goals to get back in this tie.
