World Cup Quarter Final Accumulator Tips – 4th & 5th July 2014

The World Cup quarter finals are here and we’ve got eight top sides (ok, seven and Costa Rica!) and four brilliant games. The football has been superb at this World Cup and the betting even better – especially some of the amazing free bets and offers the bookies have dished out – and as ever we’ve got three more accas for you. The odds vary from the safe-and-sound to the crazy shots at glory but all the selections represent great value so whatever type of accumulator you’re after you should find something to suit.

Easy Winner – 11/8 (Sky Bet)

  • Netherlands to beat Costa Rica (1/2) – Netherlands should be far too strong for a tiring Costa Rica and whilst the Central Americans did well to reach this far, we feel this is the end of the road for them as fatigue limits their fast-pressing game.
  • Argentina v Belgium under 3.5 goals (2/9) – This should be an incredibly tight game and given both teams drew 0-0 in 90 minutes in the last round we’re confident that backing under 3.5 goals here is a very safe addition to our acca.
  • Netherlands v Costa Rica under 3.5 goals (2/7) – Whilst we expect a relatively easy Dutch win the underdogs will do all they can to keep them out for as long as possible and we could see this one ending 1-0 or perhaps 2-0 but under 3.5 goals certainly looks a banker.

Medium Risk – 5/1 (Bet365)

  • France v Germany under 2.5 goals (13/20) – As with all the quarter final matches we don’t see much in this one and as the tension grows the free-flowing football and goals start to dry up. We could easily see all four matches featuring two goals or fewer and this one certainly looks good.
  • Argentina v Belgium draw at half time (21/20) – These teams have both been solid at the back, conceding few goals and often leaving it until the second period to get going themselves. This will be a tight contest and we fully expect it to be level at the break.
  • Netherlands v Costa Rica under 2.5 goals (4/5) – As said, we think this will end 1-0 or 2-0 to Louis van Gaal’s men and odds of 4/5 are perfect for our acca for under 2.5 goals.

Long Shot – 82/1 (Sky Bet)

  • Argentina v Belgium 0-0 at half time (6/4) – As per our previous comments this will be a tight game and 0-0 at full time, let alone half time, wouldn’t be a shock.
  • Colombia to qualify (2/1) – Brazil have Neymar and home advantage but, quite simply, Colombia have looked by far the better side and we fancy James Rodriguez can fire them to glory here against the odds.
  • Germany to win on penalties (10/1) – This is a real outsider at huge odds but in what we’re sure will be a tight game we fancy the Germans to sneak through on penalties.
