For what feels like the first time in a while there isn’t a heap of midweek football for us to cast our beady betting eyes over but with three big Premier League games we’ve got a mini-feature for the matches being played on Tuesday and Wednesday.
Of course, only having three games to consider means we’ve had more time to analyse them and consider the various stats, form and team news so we’re confident we’ve got three great betting tips this week at excellent odds.

Arsenal v West Ham (19:45) – Arsenal to win by one goal (14/5 with Ladbrokes)
The Gunners are in serious danger of recording their lowest league finish since 1996 and failing to qualify for the Champions League for the first time under Arsene Wenger. They were thumped 3-0 at Everton last time out and, prior to the weekend clash with Wigan in the FA Cup, have won just one of their last six games. Their title race has evaporated and they now face a serious battle to finish in the top four and with rivals Everton full of confidence and in magnificent form the Gunners simply have to win here.
They are priced at odds of just 2/5 with Betfred to take the three points but West Ham are in decent form and that looks a shade short to us. They lost 2-1 against Liverpool last time out but put on a good battle, which surprised some doubters who felt that now they have 37 points they would be relaxing. In contrast, they are now able to play without pressure and that could make them dangerous. The Hammers have managed four 0-0s on the road, including at Chelsea and Southampton and that could be their aim here. All in all though we expect the home side to edge this one and taking Wenger’s men to win by a single goal looks very good at odds of 14/5.

Everton v Crystal Palace (19:45) – Everton to win -1.5 goals (11/10 with Bet365)
Everton are in scintillating form and should they win at Sunderland prior to this it will be seven wins in a row, whilst even a draw in the North East will move them ahead of Arsenal in the race to finish fourth. They have won their last seven at Goodison, including their 3-0 romp over Arsenal last time out and they should have far, far too much for Palace.
The Eagles have done superbly well under Tony Pulis and with 34 points prior to Saturday’s home game against Villa they are all but safe, despite some tough remaining fixtures. They have won their last two, including a 3-0 win at Cardiff last time out but the Welsh side are poor and Everton will have far too much for the Londoners. The Toffees have scored three goals in each of their last four games and with Palace boasting the worst attacking record on the road in the Premier League we think Everton will coast this one.
Manchester City v Sunderland (19:45) – Man City to win -3.5 goals (51/20 with Bet365)
These sides have played twice already, Sunderland winning the reverse fixture 1-0 and City taking the League Cup with a 3-1 success at Wembley. However, we think the Citizens will have it far easier here against a Black Cats side low on confidence and devoid of spirit.
The Mackems lost 5-1 at Spurs in their last away game and have now lost eight of their last 10, three of those away from home by three goals or more. City might not be in top gear at the moment but they will still be far, far too good for Gus Poyet’s relegation-doomed charges and backing a big home win makes sense. They have won 14 out of 15 home Premier League games and four of those have come by four goals or more: we think that will become five here.
