Football Accumulator Tips – 6th to 8th March 2018

This coming week is a bit of a strange one for continental football. While four teams will be eliminated from the Champions League in the second legs of the round of 16, the round of 16 is only beginning in the Europa League. With a selection of matches in different stages, this is the perfect time to have a choice when it comes to your betting. So, we’ve created three different trebles to give you plenty of options for your European betting.

Short Price – 27/20 (Ladbrokes)

  • Liverpool to beat Porto (1/2) – Liverpool made short work of Porto in the first leg. Jurgen Klopp’s men scored five away goals and there is no doubt that they’ll qualify. They should do so with another win in front of the Anfield faithful.
  • Real Madrid to qualify against PSG (1/4) – Real Madrid showed all of their quality and experience to give themselves a two goal cushion ahead of their trip to Paris. That experience and the injury to Neymar should see the two time defending champions through to the quarter final.
  • Atletico Madrid to beat Lokomotiv Moscow (1/4) – Atletico Madrid were disappointed to drop into the Europa League but they got the job done in the first knockout round and a similarly professional approach should see them beat Lokomotiv Moscow with relative ease.

Medium Risk – 6/1 (BetVictor)

  • Over 2.5 goals in Liverpool v Porto (4/6) – With professional pride to play for and nothing to lose, you’d expect Porto to at least go out of the Champions League swinging. They have some classy attacking players and should score at Anfield. Stopping Liverpool from cutting loose is another problem entirely.
  • Both teams to score in Man City v Basel (8/11) – Like Porto, Basel know that they have just one more game in this season’s Champions League. The Swiss side have made a nuisance of themselves against Premier League opposition before and could make the most of a heavily rotated Man City side to score at the Etihad. They won’t, however, stop the home side from scoring.
  • Over 2.5 goals in RB Leipzig v Zenit (20/21) – RB Leipzig took a typically attacking approach to their first taste of Europa League action. They’ll be aiming to put themselves in a strong position ahead of their trip to Russia but Zenit also have a goal in them.

Long Shot – 65/1 (Bet365)

  • Tottenham to beat Juventus and both teams to score (10/3) – Tottenham played some wonderful football and showed great heart to come back from two goals down against Juventus. They’ll need a similarly good performance to make it through but that’s well within Spurs’ capabilities.
  • AC Milan to beat Arsenal to nil (7/2) – Through sheer force of character, Gennaro Gattuso has managed to turn AC Milan’s season around. The Serie A club are going through their best spell of the season and should make the most of their home advantage to put one foot in the quarter finals.
  • Over 3.5 goals in Marseille v Athletic Bilbao (12/5) – This is a cracking tie between two teams who will both feel they can go all the way in the Europa League. Marseille and Bilbao are entertaining teams on their day and could well serve up a thriller.
