Football Accumulator Tips – 21st & 22nd January 2017

You may not have noticed it in the grey murk of January but the days have started getting longer. It’s still cold but time moves quickly and it’ll soon be spring. Depending on how your team are doing, that’s either great news as it means success is just around the corner or horrible news as relegation looms ever larger. Whatever your current mood, you can help to improve it by following our three Premier League accumulators below.

Easy Winner – 5/6 (BetVictor)

  • Liverpool to beat Swansea (1/5) – Two poor cup results and a couple of draws in the league leave Liverpool needing a win. Happily for their fans they host Swansea at Anfield on Saturday so they may as well add three points to their tally now.
  • Over 1.5 goals in Stoke v Man United (3/10) – Stoke put three past Sunderland in the first half last time out and while they won’t do that against Man United, they should make life tough for Mourinho’s team in what could be an exciting and even game at the Bet365 Stadium.
  • Chelsea to beat Hull (2/11) – Chelsea responded to their defeat against Spurs perfectly with victory over Leicester. The Blues should continue in that vein against Hull at Stamford Bridge.

Medium Risk – 11/1 (Sky Bet)

  • Under 2.5 goals in West Brom v Sunderland (8/11) – Tony Pulis was shaken by the four goals West Brom conceded at White Hart Lane last weekend. The Baggies won’t totally go into their shells with a winnable game against Sunderland but they will certainly focus on their defence in training, potentially leading to a low scoring game at the Hawthorns.
  • Man City and Tottenham to draw (5/2) – Man City have to bounce back after their humbling 4-0 defeat against Everton last weekend. That will not be easy against a Tottenham side who have really hit their stride of late. Spurs should avoid defeat but a victory at the Etihad is never simple and this could end with the spoils being shared.
  • Both teams to score in Southampton v Leicester (evens) – Southampton have now lost four league games on the bounce and the locals are getting restless. Unfortunately they’ve got to take on Leicester on the weekend who are gradually improving. This could be any result but we expect both teams to get on the scoresheet.

Long Shot – 62/1 (Bet365)

  • Everton to beat Crystal Palace and both teams to score (4/1) – Crystal Palace have to show something else against Everton on Saturday. They’ve struggled even since changing managers and relegation is now staring the Eagles in the face. They should score at home but can they stop Everton’s attacking players from enjoying their day? Unlikely.
  • West Brom to beat Sunderland 1-0 (11/2) – This is set to be a game decided by just the odd goal. To that end, the 1-0 correct score looks a very good price at 11/2.
  • Sergio Aguero to score against Tottenham (20/21) – Aguero is cutting a frustrated figure at Man City. His anger has boiled over a couple of times this season as the team struggle. He could, however, turn his frustrations into a goal on Saturday against Spurs.
