With another weekend of Premier League action around the corner, we’re expecting a few more exciting battles. Will we get another weekend full of goals when the sides return from League Cup action? They’re bound to rotate ahead of these matches, so we should see the Premier League’s top attackers at full strength when Saturday rolls around. Given how defences are struggling in general at the minute, we expect plenty of joy for the forwards, which could make us a bit back on a both teams to score bet or accumulator.
With this weekend packed full of great live games, including Tottenham’s trip to West Ham, we think it’s worth putting together a both teams to score acca for the Premier League. With so much going on, we’ve picked out five matches which seem like high scoring encounters. After looking through form and statistics, we’re confident that we have found some high scoring matches, and you can see our BTTS selections below.
Saturday 23rd September
- West Ham v Tottenham (4/5 with Betfred) – The Hammers won this clash 1-0 last season, after which Spurs went on a free scoring run. If this were at Wembley we’d probably go for a 0-0, but the game should open up at the London Stadium. Spurs scored in 74% of their away games last term, while they conceded away to all but one of the top 11 last season, including at West Ham.
- Everton v Bournemouth (3/4 with Coral) – Bournemouth have gone back to the side which took them up to the Premier League, which they tend to do after struggling for a few games. That should see the Cherries stabilise for a little while, and they’re likely to get at least a goal in this trip. Having looked at Everton’s recent defensive record, an away goal seems very likely here. Meanwhile, Bournemouth conceded in 79% of their away trips last term.
- Stoke v Chelsea (19/20 with bet365) – Stoke have already taken four points at home to last season’s top six this term. They scored at home to six of the top seven last season, including when they hosted Chelsea. We see them striking against the Blues defence here, who are missing David Luiz.
- Leicester v Liverpool (8/11 with Betfair) – Liverpool’s poor defensive form this season is likely to continue against Leicester and their impressive attack. However, Liverpool’s pace should see them find the net at the King Power this weekend. After just two clean sheets in eight this season, the Reds are likely to concede again here.
Sunday 24th September
- Brighton v Newcastle (evens with Ladbrokes) – Brighton and Newcastle meet after the Toon won home and away in the Championship last term. Brighton’s scoring form has picked up, while Newcastle are now on a hot streak of results. That has us backing both teams to score in this clash, which seems really well priced at evens.
